The Business Unit of Base Eléctrica Banes, subordinate to Empresa Eléctrica Holguín, belonging to the Unión Nacional Eléctrica, has as its corporate purpose the distribution and commercialization of electrical energy, meeting the requirements and expectations of customers and interested parties, with the reliability required by the National Dispatch of Load of the National Electro-Energy System and guarantees the growth, development and necessary technological improvements in the distribution networks.
Our UEB provides electrical service to the municipality of Banes from S / E Banes 110 kV and with a 33kV line from the Nipe 110 kV substation that feeds the neighborhoods of Feria and Calabaza, all this with an existence of 101.84 Kms of lines of Sub-transmission and 194,079 km of primary.
Regarding Distribution, we have 7 primary distribution circuits at 13.8 kV that feed 684 distribution transformers and 120 transformers fed by 33 kV, giving a total of 804 transformers.
