Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Inés María Chapman Wuagh began her visit to the municipality of Banes, where she checked the progress of the hydraulic rehabilitation works being carried out on the streets of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, in the city of Banes.
The also deputy to the Cuban Parliament for this northeastern territory insisted in each place she visited on the quality of the completion of the works and the satisfaction of the people with them. At each site she talked with the builders and exchanged with the people to learn about their concerns.
Later, Chapman Wuagh participated in the sixth ordinary session of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power. At the beginning of the session, the mayor, Jorge Félix Proenza González, presented to the delegates the draft budget for 2024, which was submitted for debate in this government body.
Important projections in the sectors of health, education, attention to vulnerable communities, as well as services to the population are among the most important projections, which was recognized by the Cuban Deputy Prime Minister.
"The execution of the works being developed in Banes must have a systematic control and follow-up, listen to what the people say and want, and rectify what we have to improve", said Inés María Chapman Waugh, Cuban Deputy Prime Minister, before the delegates to the sixth session of the meeting.
