Characterization: The educational sector in the municipality of Banes, with 111 educational centers, serves an enrollment of 10,286 students, distributed by educations as follows: Children care 445, Primary 4544, Kindergarden 617, Junior high 2035, Pre-university 816, Teaching Professional Technician 830, Special Education 341, EDA 427 and CPT 209. With an external regime there are 5,986, seminarian 3727 and internal 647. 99.4% of school attendance is achieved.
