The Business Unit Banes(UEB), subordinate to Empresa Eléctrica Holguín, belonging to the Unión Nacional Eléctrica, has as its corporate purpose the distribution and commercialization of electrical energy, meeting the requirements and expectations of customers and interested parties, with the reliability required by the National Dispatch of Load of the National Electro-Energy System and guarantees the growth, development and necessary technological improvements in the distribution networks.
Our UEB provides electrical service to the municipality of Banes from S / E Banes 110 kV and with a 33kV line from the Nipe 110 kV substation that feeds the neighborhoods of Feria and Calabaza, all this with an existence of 101.84 Kms of lines of Sub-transmission and 194,079 km of primary.
Regarding Distribution, we have 7 primary distribution circuits at 13.8 kV that feed 684 distribution transformers and 120 transformers fed by 33 kV, giving a total of 804 transformers.

Different payment methods and facilities for customers to pay for electricity service

Diferentes formas y facilidades de pago del servicio eléctrico para los clientes

The electric company offers its customers different ways and facilities to pay for electric service so that each person can find out which is the easiest way to do it and apply it as he/she wishes:
- Personal payment to the collector reader: according to the collection plan of the municipality in the first fortnight of each month the presentation of the routes to the collection by the collector readers is made, in which the customer is notified of the amount to be paid through the consumption notice, it is the first payment option available to customers, this notice reflects the date on which the term is due, ten (10) working days later. This is only valid for field routes, in city routes the reader ONLY notifies the customer of the amount to be paid.
- Payment at the commercial office: at the collection windows of the branch office located at 1802 Bayamo Street, every working day, from 7:30 am to 11:00 am and from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and on Saturdays from 7:30 am to 11:00 am.
- Payment at the post offices (Banes, Macabí and Deleyte): through the counters of these offices or to the letter carriers, always 3 days before the due date shown on the consumption notice.
