As part of the monitoring and control of the implementation of the new regulation published in Official Gazette No. 85 of November 6, 2019, with the aim of perfecting self-employment, where resolutions No. 410 and 411 of the Minister appear. of Transportation, which modify and perfect the current Regulation of Decree Law 168 "On the Transport Operation License", in particular the experiment carried out in Havana with private porters who provide services in motor vehicles with a capacity of 4 to 14 passengers, it was necessary to make modifications to the principles.
Consequently to the legal norms that sustain it, with the aim of matching the interests of the population, carriers and the government, in relation to the provision of the service, its price and the acquisition and consumption of fuel.
The modifications are the result of an extensive process of receiving opinions, suggestions, complaints, surveys and meetings with carriers. Delio Almaguer Ocaña, Director of Operations at the Provincial Transportation Company, tells us about this process in Holguín.
“In this process, the route and free modes are unified in a single license, called Regular, and the high-comfort or classic mode is maintained, with its normal format. Carriers in the regular mode cannot serve tourism.
“A differentiated price in cup is established for the acquisition of fuel through a magnetic card: Special Gasoline B-94 will be sold for $ 15.00 pesos per liter, Regular Gasoline B-90 at $ 10.00, Engine Gasoline B-83 at $ 8.00, just like Regular Diesel.
