"Being a doctor is everything, it is what I like, it is what I am passionate about and it is what I always wanted to be since I was a child, I always said that medicine was my goal and my most longed dream." These are the words of the young doctor Beatriz Mercedes Sian, Bety or La China, as she is affectionately known by her friends, a kind young woman who in her eyes reflected the desires to make her bundle of dreams come true.

That is how I met her some time ago during her rotation as a student in the pediatric services of the Maternal and Child Hospital of the municipality of Banes. At that time she never thought about the experiences that with only one year of graduation the covid-19 would impose on her and that far away from the warmth of home she would begin to grow as a professional.

Demonstrating that we are the continuity of the revolutionary process is the maxim of the people of Banaima, who reaffirmed their revolutionary conviction in a ceremony held this Thursday afternoon in the Cárdenas Park of this city, which was attended by residents and workers from different sectors.
In times in which the intensification of the blockade and the covid-19 pandemic are hitting us, events orchestrated from the United States are taking place in the country to which the children of the Archeological Capital of Cuba are responding with unity and commitment to the Homeland.

With the presence of Yamile Carrera Caballero, first secretary of the Party in Banes, and Yander Rodríguez Santana, president of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power, the young people gathered in El Bosque, complying with the measures of social distancing, to ratify their commitment to the Revolution and the history of this country, today attacked and vilified by the imperialist media, but always firm in its principles.

There are places that teach you to grow, to be a better person and to love unconditionally the profession you have chosen; this is what happens with Radio Banes, which is an accomplice of our dreams, of those illusions to which we cling every day to provide the information and moments of entertainment that listeners expect, because we reflect the reality of a municipality that is grateful every morning to tune in on 94.7 and 95.7 FM and receive the greeting of a group whose premise is to get closer to the daily life of every Banense.

Next Friday, July 23, in salute to the 68th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, on July 26, 1953, National Rebellion Day, a Special Agricultural Fair will be held in six points of this city of Banes with the participation of the productive units, Commerce and Gastronomy and other entities of this northeastern territory.

In the organization of the event, the first secretary of the Party in Banes, Yamile Carrera Caballero, pointed out the importance of each unit committed to the agreement, and that this day, complying with the hygienic-sanitary measures, will be a day of happiness, organization and patriotism.

In view of the epidemiological situation in the municipality of Banes in the province of Holguín, the political, administrative and health authorities adopted new measures aimed at strengthening the fight against COVID-19.

These decisions will come into effect on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, but the control of these measures will begin on Thursday, June 24 of the current year.

Measures to strengthen the fight against COVID-19 in Banes:

1. Define the modified restriction or quarantine zones (areas with suspected or positive cases), leaving delimited with tapes the land that will be subjected to this procedure, also a person from each family will be defined who will go out to look for basic resources for their families.
2. Each work center must make a selection of the essential workers and the rest can be incorporated into the remote work modality. The working day will be limited to 3:00 pm, except for those who provide basic services, such as warehouses, stores and units with 24-hour services.
