Around 7,500 Banes residents between 60 and 69 years of age make up the first group that will participate in the health intervention strategy with one of our vaccine candidates, which will minimize complications for this risk group, informed Nelson Santiesteban Rosa, director of Public Health in the municipality of Banes.

In the territory, 33 clinical sites are certified, located in the different popular councils, both urban and rural, which already have all the organizational conditions created, in which the compliance of all the hygienic-sanitary measures are present in order to start the immunization intervention in the next days.

The health personnel received prior training for specialized care in each area of the clinical sites to minimize adverse reactions to this vaccine preparation in case there were any sequelae after receiving this first dose.

The realization of this sanitary intervention in the Cuban Archeological Capital also receives the direct support of the mass organizations, which from their actions in the communities will guarantee the assistance of the population in a staggered manner to avoid crowds, and above all to ensure that all requirements established to carry out this sanitary intervention, essential to preserve the health of the people, are met.

In this sense, he highlights the support of cultural units to this health intervention.

The First Regional Scientific Workshop "Heritage and Local Development" was held in the Bananá River Basin on June 10.
In the opening remarks delivered by Ms. Libia Bermudez Chaveco, Director of the Municipal University Center, she detailed the motivations that led to the realization of this scientific event and invited specialists, students and researchers to use this space to contribute to the exchange of good practices and the impact of the transformations that are carried out in society.

As part of the recent measures approved to boost the agricultural sector in the country, which conferred legality to the slaughter, consumption and commercialization of bovine meat (bovine and buffalo), in the municipality of Banes five producers carried out this exercise in the meat processing plant "Alberto Hernández Cano", in this city, where six cattle from the Credit and Service Cooperatives "José Antonio Echevarría", from Tanganica and "Conrado Benítez", from Calabaza 22 were slaughtered.

In compliance with Resolution 139 of 2021, the legal holders of cattle, fulfilling the well-delineated objectives of stimulating the growth of the livestock mass, encouraging the producers' interest in cattle breeding and selling meat products to the population at prices by agreement; "but also to comply with requirements for slaughter, consumption and commercialization", this act took place, which opens the way for a measure very well received by the producers.

Juan Carlos Martinez Hernández, a member of the "Conrado Benítez" cooperative, one of the best livestock units in the municipality, confessed his satisfaction for this fact, which motivates him to work harder, to take care of each cattle with care, to provide it with a greater quantity and quality of food and to promote an upward development of the mass.

On the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the constitution of the MININT and in the framework of the day of the jurist, 51 women from Bananá were recognized, outstanding in these sectors.

On Wednesday, June 9, the Council of the Municipal Administration met at the Government headquarters in Banes. The meeting was attended by Yamile Carrera Caballero, First Secretary of the PCC in Banes, Rodolfo Barzaga, Coordinator of Construction in the Provincial Government of Holguin, Jorge Felix Proenza Gonzalez, Municipal Intendant of Banes and the members of this administrative body.

The Municipal Blood Bank located in the municipality of Banes began the blood donor day, which from June 6 to 14 will have as its main purpose to save lives and improve the health of citizens.
A total of 40 voluntary donors gathered on the morning of June 8 to contribute to this vital action.
