The XXIII Ordinary Session of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power of Banes was held on May 14 of this year, with the premise of continuing to represent the interests of the people of Banes, issues related to the economic and social development of the territory were analyzed.
A cultural number in which the best of our music was performed was a special moment dedicated to the day of the Cuban peasant on May 17.
The newly elected delegates and the proposals to integrate the permanent work commissions of this Assembly were presented.
The delegates who have been celebrating their birthdays during this period received congratulations and recognition for this special day.
In accordance with the provisions of Law 132, during this session, Yander Rodríguez Santana, President of this body, gave an account of the fulfillment of his duties.
The President of the Permanent Commission in charge of Agrifood matters, Daniel Sierra, presented the results obtained in the Control and Inspection of the UEB Collection of the municipality.
The report on the treatment given to the proposals made by the voters was presented by Jorge Félix Proenza González, Municipal Intendant. In this regard, the administrative officer emphasized the statistical values and the actions that the agencies have taken to solve the problems.
Other points analyzed were related to the implementation of the ideas discussed during the 8th Congress of the PCC.
At the conclusion, Yamile Carrera Caballero, Secretary of the PCC in Banes, made a speech in which she spoke about the economic situation, the fight against Covid-19, confronting crime and reinforcing the functions of the delegates to improve the welfare of the people. She expressed the confidence that Buro Municipal confers to the members of this Assembly.
